Shortlisted for a Design Week Award 2015

September 2015

Purpose is delighted to have been shortlisted for a Design Week Award, for our work on Sins Serif in the Print Communications category.

‘Sins Serif’ was an event based on the book ‘The Ten Commandments of Typography / Type Heresy’ by Creative Director Paul Felton and featured at the annual Pick Me Up graphic arts festival at Somerset House in London.

Witty language played on the religious context, and by using typographic puns we created fitting phases in and around the event.

A bespoke sans serif display typeface was created based on a stained glass window design and posters encouraged visitors to produce their very own divine works of illumination, with a typographic workshop.

The final result will be announced in November at the Design Week Award ceremony, and to check out the shortlisted agencies, please click here.
